Groenendaeler is a Belgian shepherd's dog.
The Belgian sheepdog "the Groenendaeler "distinguishes oneself with his plain black pelt from the three other Belgian sheepdogs : the Lakense - , the Mechelse - , and the Tervurense sheepdog .
The breed date from the 13th century, but the Groenendaler war being bred only at the end of the 19th century. At that time a breeder coupled two black sheepdogs .
Years ago the Groenendaeler was oftenused as a shepherds dog, but nowadays the Groenendaeler is served for a watch-dog as a police-dog. Groenendaelers have verry good character when he is correct breed
